Our recent Northbrook renovation took two outdated spaces, a dated primary bathroom and a first-floor powder room, and reimagined them into elegant, functional, and personalized areas for our homeowners. The result was a luxurious spa-like retreat and a chic, curated powder room upgrade, each thoughtfully designed to reflect modern sophistication and the homeowner’s unique taste.
When it comes to home design, creating a space that feels connected, functional, and welcoming is key for our BDS team. This Libertyville first-floor renovation project was a perfect example of reimagining a space to meet modern needs while maintaining a timeless aesthetic.
Our Libertyville homeowners have recently settled into their home and were ready for a complete transformation of their space. The family has young children who are eager to join in on kitchen activities. Their original layout posed challenges: a cramped island with an awkward shape and no seating, a cooktop situated in the island that brought kids uncomfortably close to hot surfaces, a poorly arranged work triangle, and outdated style and lighting. The laundry room’s door layout further restricted usable space, with doors constantly obstructing something when open. The BDS team reimagined each area with both safety and style.

Her career began with a Bachelor of Science in Design, Housing, and Merchandising (Interior Design) from Oklahoma State University, and she has since built an impressive resume, holding both NCIDQ certification and LEED AP ID+C credentials.
Our customer’s primary bathroom in Winnetka was in desperate need of a transformation. The existing tub was not only outdated and leaking but also too large for comfort and unsafe to get in and out of. The BDS team was able to create a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing space while addressing the issues of the leaking tub and outdated design.
The original tub, installed in 2006, required thorough investigation to find materials that would blend seamlessly with the existing elements. BDS sourced a proportionally sized tub designed for one person, ensuring it fit comfortably within the space. While we reused the luxury faucet, we customized a tub drain control for improved accessibility, making it easier to use and maintain.
When a leak from the primary suite tub above damaged a portion of the existing theater room, our BDS Team was brought in to reimagine the space. The original theater room, which didn’t match the aesthetic of the rest of the home, was an opportunity to create something truly spectacular. With the space mostly fixed by the foundation on three sides, we treated it as a blank canvas, drawing inspiration from the adjacent areas to align with the home's overall style.
