Our customer’s primary bathroom in Winnetka was in desperate need of a transformation. The existing tub was not only outdated and leaking but also too large for comfort and unsafe to get in and out of. The BDS team was able to create a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing space while addressing the issues of the leaking tub and outdated design.

The original tub, installed in 2006, required thorough investigation to find materials that would blend seamlessly with the existing elements. BDS sourced a proportionally sized tub designed for one person, ensuring it fit comfortably within the space. While we reused the luxury faucet, we customized a tub drain control for improved accessibility, making it easier to use and maintain.

When a leak from the primary suite tub above damaged a portion of the existing theater room, our BDS Team was brought in to reimagine the space. The original theater room, which didn’t match the aesthetic of the rest of the home, was an opportunity to create something truly spectacular. With the space mostly fixed by the foundation on three sides, we treated it as a blank canvas, drawing inspiration from the adjacent areas to align with the home's overall style.

Our Winnetka owners had a few clear requirements:

• Seating: No less than eight seats with space for their grandkids.
• Audio-Visual: They had an existing relationship with an AV company, which determined and spec'd the AV package. We collaborated closely on the space and layout requirements to ensure everything fit perfectly.
• Sound Control: With seven enormous speakers and five subwoofers, sound attenuation was a top priority.

BDS Design Build Remodel recently received the great honor of being named the 2024 Contractor of the Year Award from NARI of Greater Chicagoland. Our team was honored to receive this award from The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) for our Northbrook Basement project.

Our Libertyville homeowners found themselves in a common dilemma: their laundry room lacked functionality despite having the right space. The laundry and mudroom, crucial hubs of activity for any busy household, were simply not meeting the needs of this busy family. The BDS team was able to help transform this mudroom to better serve them while also creating a beautifully designed space.

In the heart of Libertyville, our BDS team transformed this home for its homeowners. From the kitchen to the bathroom, and every space in between, the entire home underwent a top-to-bottom renovation that is nothing short of extraordinary.

The Winnetka Basement renovation was a remarkable 4 year transformation, meticulously addressing a range of issues to create a functional and inviting space for its new owners. This home was rich with history but the infrastructure of the home needed some much needed love and attention. Over the course of several years our BDS team was able to create a functional and inviting haven for its homeowners. 

When we think of home renovations, we most likely think of a full home gut job, renovations from top to the bottom, and a really expensive project. But that is not usually the case! Our BDS team loves to take home and completely renovate it from top to bottom, but sometimes the timing or the budget just don’t allow for that. A home can just need a refresh of the existing design without changing out the structure of the room. The BDS team is always happy to take on a home refresh!
