After moving into her new home with her children, our Hawthorn Woods homeowner wanted to personalize the space and enhance its functionality to better reflect her style and lifestyle. The renovation focused on both aesthetic and functional updates across the first floor and basement.

On the first floor our BDS team installed decorative ceiling beams in the dining room to complement the home's decor and create a cohesive, inviting feel. The living room fireplace was modernized with a new stone surround and hearth for added warmth and visual interest. In the kitchen our BDS team replaced the existing hood with a custom cabinet-style hood featuring wood detailing, designed to blend seamlessly with the rest of the main floor finishes.

In the basement, an unfinished bedroom was transformed into a fully equipped exercise room with new drywall, mirrors, lighting, fan, TV space, and durable flooring. The BDS team built out a new bathroom to add convenience and functionality for the family and guests. The main entertainment area was upgraded with a custom wet bar and TV area, creating a kid-friendly space for gatherings. Luxury vinyl plank flooring was installed around the wet bar and rear slider to offer durability and protect adjacent carpeting.
