This remodel in Barrington was a special project for our BDS team. This historically significant home was designed, built and added to over the years by Don Erickson, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. This stunning home had a 3 year massive renovation with additions that upgraded every aspect of the home while maintaining the original design and style. This portion of the project was to completely gut and remodel the guest house. Our homeowners wanted their guest to enjoy the incredible historic design of this home in their own guest house as well as the main house. The kitchen, stairwell, and flooring were all brought up to the style and elegance of the main house while keeping the space open for guests to enjoy. The primary bath and loft up the stairs were also updated. Natural light from the enclosed auditorium/lounge surrounds the entire space.
