About the Project

When our recent Libertyville client’s basement flooded, they decided not just to repair the damage but rather to take the opportunity to update and expand their space to house their hobbies and design the perfect place to relax after a long day. The BDS team created a spacious and open living area featuring a pool table, bathroom, wet bar with wine refrigerator and prep sink, and a large fireplace to provide a cozy living space. We updated the basement to provide plenty of storage space for the family. An exercise room equipped for a full-body workout was created, and we also added specific gym flooring to protect the equipment as well as provide comfort while getting in a workout. To keep this basement feeling bright and open, we kept the ceilings raised and added several wide windows in every room to add plenty of natural lighting.
