Our Libertyville family quickly realized the kitchen layout wasn't working for them after moving into their new home . The space featured an awkwardly shaped island with little prep space, outdated finishes, and a low-hanging hood that posed a real challenge—especially for the tall homeowner. Our BDS team transformed the kitchen by using the newer appliances that come with the home and incorporating a larger gas cooktop and an under-counter microwave to free up workspace. The redesigned island gives our homeowners a larger, more functional island which features a beautiful accent color for a fun, modern touch. The BDS team removed the existing soffits and brought in new cabinetry which went up to the ceiling. This created more storage and a clean, finished look. A workstation sink was added for better workflow, and the old desk area was converted into a stylish coffee station. Bright, light finishes and improved lighting makes the new space feel open and inviting—combining practicality with personality in every detail.
